One of the oldest bridal traditions is the bridal veil. The use of the bridal veil is one of the oldest practices during weddings. Along with the oldest bridal practices, wearing a bridal veil is still evident. The veil is considered a significant element that it becomes part of the design of the bride’s wedding gown. It has been long believed that the veil keeps away the evil spirits to keep her safe until she unites with her husband. What’s embodied in the veil is the decency of the bride. Moreover, it sends an assurance to the groom’s family that she’s right for the husband. During the ceremony, the meaning of lifting the veil aside from showing her to the family is letting the groom have possession over his wife.
